Machine-Tool Auction — international buyer access, transparent pricing.

For selected inventories MBR Machinery operates the channel machinetools.auction and distributes machines via Maschinensucher.de — the leading machine marketplace in Germany. A qualified buyer base from contract manufacturing, dealers and international export.

When auction makes sense

Auction realisation isn't the first choice for every machine — but it is the most efficient solution for specific situations:

  • Business liquidations with mixed pools: When a site contains machines from various manufacturers, years and configurations, auction enables parallel realisation without individual sales effort per machine.
  • Insolvency proceedings: Insolvency administrators need documented market prices and fast liquidation. Auction delivers both — with traceable price discovery through open bidding.
  • Special inventory and fast realisation: When time is the main condition, auction delivers actionable results within 3–6 weeks.
  • Basic machine types: Haas VF series, older CNC lathes without special features, sinker EDMs, cylindrical grinders — machines where the buyer market is broad and a good price is reachable via auction.

What machinetools.auction does differently

Generic industrial auctions treat machine tools like any other asset. machinetools.auction is specialised in this class:

  • Machine-specific lot descriptions: Control type, spindle hours, year, special equipment — the way an informed buyer needs them.
  • Qualified buyer base: Registered bidders from contract manufacturing, CNC trade and international export — not generic used-goods buyers.
  • International reach: Machines are specifically marketed in export markets (Turkey, Poland, Czech Republic, MENA) — where demand is.
  • Connection to MBR direct trade: Machines better suited to direct sale are separated and not blanket-auctioned. No value lost to the wrong channel.

Process

The flow for machine pools via machinetools.auction is structured in four phases — from capture to realisation:

  1. Inventory & photo documentation on site: control type, spindle hours, base condition, special equipment for every machine.
  2. Lot formation & price strategy: Which machines are auctioned individually, which as a lot? Minimum bids are set based on current market data.
  3. Marketing: Auction listing on machinetools.auction plus targeted buyer outreach in relevant markets (2–3 weeks before auction end).
  4. Settlement & removal: MBR coordinates payment, handover and logistics — incl. export documentation for international buyers.

Frequently asked

Who is the auction channel suitable for? +

Mainly business liquidations, insolvency and special inventories — where speed and transparent pricing matter more than per-machine optimisation. For high-value single machines (5-axis, turn-mill with sub-spindle) direct sale is usually better.

How is it different from generic industrial auctions? +

Specialisation: we describe machines machine-specifically (control, spindle hours, condition) and reach a qualified buyer base from CNC trade and contract manufacturing — instead of generic used-goods buyers.

Can MBR auction single machines? +

Yes. For basic and older single machines auction is often the fastest route. For high-value special machines we usually recommend direct sale or targeted outreach — which yields better prices.
