Logistics & Export — machine tools worldwide, fully insured.
Buying a machine is one challenge. Getting it safely, on time and fully documented to destination is the other. MBR coordinates both — with experienced partners and a process that leaves no detail open.
Quick overview
- What: Full logistics coordination — dismantling, packaging, transport, export, handover.
- Destinations: 15+ countries — all EU states, Turkey, Mexico, USA, UAE, Israel.
- Documents: EUR.1, certificate of origin, ATLAS export declaration, B/L, CMR — complete and error-free.
- Packaging: Sea freight (wooden crate + VCI film), EU land transport, air-freight options.
- Transparency: Project-specific pricing — customs and import VAT disclosed in advance.
Regular destinations
The process — from the floor to the destination
1. Preparation and dismantling
Before a machine leaves the site, MBR coordinates professional dismantling by experienced machine fitters. Hydraulic lines are flushed and sealed, axes secured, glass panels removed and packaged separately. Anything that detaches is inventoried and documented — no accessory gets lost.
2. Proper packaging
The type and effort of packaging depend on machine weight, size and route. Our standards:
- Sea freight (FCL/LCL): full wooden crate, corrosion protection (VCI film, desiccant), container-securing to IICL standard.
- EU land transport: machine skids, lashings, edge protection and weather-resistant film — truck-suitable and ADR-compliant.
- Air freight (small parts, controller components): IATA-compliant packaging with full declaration.
3. Transport planning and forwarding coordination
MBR works with a fixed network of specialist heavy-load forwarders. We pick the corridor not by price but by reliability and damage history. For oversized and overweight loads we coordinate heavy-transport permits directly. The buyer has one point of contact — not several.
4. Export documentation
Missing or wrong documents cause customs holds — that costs time and money. MBR provides in full:
- Commercial invoice and packing list (multilingual)
- EUR.1 movement certificate (for preferential EU imports)
- Certificate of origin (chamber of commerce)
- Conformity documentation and CE papers (where applicable)
- ATLAS export declaration (Germany) / electronic export filing
- Bill of Lading (sea freight) or CMR consignment note (land transport)
5. Handover and installation
MBR can take coordination through to successful installation at destination — including unloading planning, crane coordination and connection to the production line. For commissioning we broker manufacturer-certified service technicians on request.
Why logistics isn't a given
An 18-tonne lathe is not parcel shipment. Underestimate machine logistics and you pay for it at customs or at unloading. With 500+ coordinated machine relocations and 15 years of combined team expertise, we've seen the pitfalls: wrong HS classification, machines without corrosion protection in damp containers, transports without sufficient crane capacity at destination.
That's why our logistics coordination isn't an add-on but an integral part of every deal. The buyer receives a machine — not a pile of parts in a damaged crate.
Cost and transparency
Logistics cost depends on weight, volume, destination and transport mode. MBR creates project-specific quotes — clearly itemised, no hidden line items. For cross-border transports to third countries we calculate customs and import VAT in advance and communicate clearly, so the buyer has no nasty surprises.
Logistics FAQ
Which countries does MBR deliver to? +
Over 25 countries — all EU states, Turkey, Mexico, USA, UAE, Israel and others on request.
What does logistics coordination cost? +
Project-specific. MBR creates a transparent quote — itemised by packaging, transport, documents and (if applicable) installation at destination.
How is a large CNC machine packed? +
For sea freight fully crated with VCI film and desiccant. For EU land transport machine skids + lashings + film. All moving parts are secured before transport.
Can MBR also coordinate commissioning? +
Yes — we coordinate installation, alignment and, on request, certified commissioning by manufacturer service technicians.
